'''Ardion Armoury''' is an arsenal situated in the domain of Krosenia, named for Krossen's capital. Though historically associated with the Royal Army, it does not operate as an exclusive military institution. Instead, it is governed by an autonomous board drawn from a collateral branch of House Krossen and undertakes commissions for both the Royal Army and the Assembly Army.

== Overview ==
Ardion Armoury specializes in ceremonial and small-batch custom work — ceremonial swords, honor weapons, royal gifts, and other items of symbolic weight, produced by hand by individual craftsmen rather than through standardized mass production. The distinction from its counterpart, Ardgate Arsenal, is one of philosophy rather than capability: Ardion has itself produced custom specialized weapons to meet the requirements of special operations units when called upon. Because of its reputation for master craftsmanship, the Armoury is occasionally commissioned to produce presentation weapons and custom equipment for personnel of both military branches.

== History ==
In the early years following the founding of Krossen, weapons production was consolidated under a single body, Krossen Arsenal, largely ceremonial in nature, while military arms were still produced by local smithies. In September of AY 31, following a state council convened under Arvolik Krossen some years prior, Krossen Arsenal was formally divided into two bodies: Ardion Armoury inherited the original ceremonial function, while Ardgate Arsenal was newly formed to serve as a dedicated frontline arsenal.

Where Ardgate went on to be drawn progressively under military command, Ardion instead settled into its present form: an autonomous institution overseen by a board drawn from a collateral line of House Krossen, remaining outside the direct command structure of both the Royal Army and the Assembly Army.

== Relations ==
Ardion is frequently contrasted with Ardgate Arsenal. The two differ markedly in orientation and scale — Ardion pursues ceremonial and small-batch custom work, while Ardgate pursues mass production and standardization — but the two are regarded less as rivals than as complements, each serving a different role within Krossen's military system.
