Overview

Magicology is the academic discipline devoted to the systematic study of magic — the practice of manipulating and transforming existing matter and energy through mana. Where Manology addresses the fundamental nature of mana itself, Magicology treats those laws as a settled foundation and turns instead to the question of how mana is put to purposeful use. Magicology could not exist without Manology, yet it constitutes an independent field of inquiry, organized in a manner that mirrors Manology's own division into theoretical, applied, and engineering branches.

Magic Architecture examines the layered structure that underlies every act of spellcasting, from the Model of Computation down through individual Applications.

Magic Engineering encompasses two distinct pursuits: the design and construction of magical apparatus and devices, and the imbuing of objects with magical properties through inscription.
